I'm Back!

So, I used to blog all the time. I had a favorite blog, and the blogsite informed us that they would no longer be around. They did give us time to migrate our blog to another site.  I failed to do that, and in doing so, lost a lot of my favorite posts.  I used  to blog on Myspace, but that became very cumbersome for me.  I then started blogging on BlogSpot, but I lost focus and had a hard time with keeping up the blog.  Plus with all the other social networking sites out there, such as Facebook, Yelp and Instagram, I would post pictures and status updates, and my blog went by the wayside.

I have a friend on Facebook, and she keeps a blog about her bucket list.  I think that's a really clever thing.  She has some amazing things on her bucket list, like skydiving, windsurfing and cake decorating.  She's been checking things off and then will blog about the experience.  I really enjoy her blogs.  Then there's a couple that went on a sabbatical and went on a road trip and visited all these national parks.  They blogged about their trip.  That was so much fun to read about!

I've developed an itch to write again.  It won't be as focused as some of my friend's blogs, and mostly my ramblings.  I want to keep things current, as I go, but I feel like I've lost so much with what I've been doing, that I'll manage to blog about some of the highlights.

Anyways, I'm back!

Casablanca

I saw Casablanca tonight at the Venetian theater in downtown Hillsboro. I love this movie! The acting is superb and the storyline draws you in. I love the style of clothes and the romanticism of that era. It's a drama that has romance, adventure, humor. This movie has it all!

My Best Friend's Wedding

"My Best Friend's Wedding" is chick flick starring Julia Roberts. I'm not a big fan of Julia Roberts, but there are several movies that she is in, that I happen to love. This is one of those movies. I've watched this movie over and over. I think she's a little over the top at times, but there are a few scenes that I love, and when those scenes are on, I can't seem to look away. The rest of the movie, I can multi-task. I love Dermot Mulroney and Rupert Everett's characters. I love the scene where George is singing to Jules as Dionne Warwick. The other scene that I love is the ending, when Jules is sitting at a table, and George phones her. "By God, there'll be dancing!" I give it 9 stars!

Marigold

This was a bollywoodish movie about an American actress that goes to India and stars in a Bollywood type movie and falls in love with the lead actor. I loved the bollywood numbers and the costumes. The plot was a little corny. I give this 7 stars.

Hello Dolly

I've seen bits and pieces of "Hello Dolly" many times over the years. I never actually sat and watched the whole movie before. I finally accomplished this. I love old musicals. "Hello Dolly" has some gorgeous costumes. Great showtunes! I give it 10 stars.

The Three Musketeers

Went to the theater to watch "The Three Musketeers" on Halloween. It was a tad bit boring at times, but still fun to watch. I loved the costumes. I give it 7 stars.
